Ashdon Cemetery
We are so fortunate to have a beautiful church reaching back into the past centuries. Wander in the acre surrounding All Saints and you can read the grave stones of those who died many years ago; those who lived in our houses and cottages, who walked our lanes and worked in the fields.
This acre around the church is the churchyard belonging to All Saints and is maintained by the Parochial Church Council. When this was filled, burials took place in the Victorian cemetery.
When this finally became full, the Parish Council bought adjoining land and created what was termed the New Cemetery, which is the space that we use today. The parish is very fortunate to still have space there, many other parishes have filled their cemeteries.
