Ashdon is a rural community in north west Essex. We are still lucky enough to have a beautiful public house, a weekly Post Office mobile counter, churches, an excellent village primary school, and a modern village hall available to hire.

Ashdon Parish Council, a local authority that makes decisions on behalf of the people in the village. The Council and its 7 Councillors welcomes the support, views and input of the local community. Your local council is the first stop for concerns and ideas to improve your village​​​​​​ as a place to live, work and play. We will help by escalating issues to the authorities up the line, being Uttlesford District Council and Essex County Council.
